Congressman Brian Baird votes with the Party of "No!"
As promised, Democratic Congressman Brian Baird (Vancouver-WA), voted No on the Healthcare reform bill, HR 3962.While this bill was supported by organizations such as the AMA, AARP, American Cancer Society, and Consumers Union, Baird saw fit to join with Republicans in saying "No!" to reform.
Fortunately, 219 Democrats and 1 Republican, Cao of Louisianna, voted Yes and passed this historic piece of legislation. I suspect it will pass the Senate and then Congressman Baird will see the light and vote for the Conference Bill.
